The water cycle can be a difficult topic to "jazz up" and make interesting for your students.
The Kidzone site has an attractive website that explains the water cycle using pictures and diagrams. It also has some excellent posters that can be printed out and used in a display. This site is suitable for Year 5 & 6 although younger children might enjoy colouring in the posters.
You could try teaching younger children "The Water Cycle Boogie"
"Evaporation, Condensation
Precipitation, Saturation
And the water cycle boogie goes 'round and round
And the water cycle boogie goes up and down."
As well as the wonderful song there are also some great activity ideas to explore evaporation and other parts of the water cycle. Read about them here.
